Focal Points

A sense of flow is nice, but without a focus, your garden is not really taken in and studied. It is quickly passed over.’

Marie Lannotti

A garden shouldn’t just be a lawn or patio, it should be a usable space that becomes an extension of your indoor living area. By adding features such as fires and outdoor kitchens, it is possible to create purposeful areas within your garden; whether that be for socialising with friends or relaxing with a glass of wine after a long day. These key features will draw you outside all year round.

Contemporary family garden with a space for the adults to unwind

Focal points were created within this contemporary garden, with a view to making the space usable for a young, sociable family that loved being outdoors. A white-rendered fire place became the centre-point of the design, which the couple are able to unwind in front of after a busy day with their small children. A TV projector was incorporated to add another dimension to this key design feature.
